Director, Specialized Accounting TransactionsOur bank client is looking for a Director of Specialized Accounting Transactions. In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination, development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures in response to changes to GAAP, and for specialized corporate transactions undertaken by the Bank. The Director will look at issues like, assessing the impact of proposed accounting changes by Canadian, U.S. and international accounting bodies, as well as resolving accounting issues, and providing advice and counsel on specialized transactions which might include financing, business acquisitions, etc. The incumbent must also assist in identifying and managing the reporting of U.S. GAAP differences identified as part of their work and/or within their area of expertise. The Director will be communicating with the senior management team to ensure they are fully up-to-date on GAAP and regulatory changes that significantly impact the Bank.
