Senior Manager, Property AccountingThis role reports to the Controller and will be responsible for the accounting, finance, and administration for the real estate portfolio. As a key member of the financial team, you understand the property reporting issues, including co-ownerships reporting. You will ensure the timely and accurate delivery of management reports and analytical support to the rest of the finance team. You will be the key driver in monitoring changes to Canadian, U.S. and IFRS accounting standards and provide analysis and assessment of the overall impact to the company. In this role, you will advise the whole company, as well as subsidiaries on financial and reporting matters with respect to specialized transactions. Also, you will provide guidance and direction to questions about accepted accounting principles, acquisitions and/or unusual transactions. You will work with standard-setting bodies such as the CICA, OSFI, OFC, FASB, SEC (etc.) in coordinating the implementation of new accounting standards and maintain/update any financial disclosure documents, as required.
